The Villa Hotel

This hotel may not be for everyone but it was exactly what we were looking for. It's a family run business with a very homey feel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing burgers handmade on premises. I was particularly impressed by their vegan menu. Rooms are clean, tidy and beds comfortable. Note: The doors get locked at midnight. This gave us piece of mind and made us feel secure. Located within walking distance of train station, shops and Douglas View Care Home. I would like to say a huge thank you to Anne, Douglas and Nidal for giving us a warm welcome. Looking forward to our next stay. Rodger and Vicky

Spent two nyts in the hotel this weekend full place is spotless rooms r cosy and beds are comfortable with all the things you need at hand .clean towels hairdryer WiFi easy location and very lovely owners too would defo go back again

My in laws booked this establishment when through for a wedding, my MIL didnt realise the place locked up at midnight, we called to cancel straight away when she realised and the person we spoked to was more than happy to cancel but she just decided to go ahead with the booking. She said the place was spotless and had no issues whatsoever. The only thing she did mention was that the breakfast wasn't up to much, but apart from that, she was quite happy.

The setting is an Oasis in the desert. Food was lovely which reflects the owners selections. There's a Whisky Club for the connoisseurs. It's a nice place for meal a drink or both. Take with you the one you love.

We attended dinner party at Qabeela Shinwari, and as usual, enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.

My friend and I went to The Villa Hotel tell for dinner one evening. I have to say I didn't think much of it. Inside seemed like and average bar that served food, the prices where good so we thought why not eat and both my friend and I where glad we did. We both agreed that it was the best Indian curry we had ever had, will definitely be back to see what else is good .

Only posting as restaurant visitor. We have been a family regular for a few years now ( 6 years) and never been disappointed. Service from Nidal and Douglas has been excellant. Food is above our expectations. everytime and never had issue. They always look after you. Whiskey (whisky) selection is amazing!

The only ting that would put this hotel in the low cost bracket is the price. You get everything you expect from a room, space, warmth, powerful shower, TV, comfy bed ect but thats not the best bit. The staff are extremely inviting, chatty and friendly. The bar staff know there products and hold intelligent conversation. The whiskey collection is extremely impressive and they serve a fantastic locally brewed lager thats unique to the area. But the best bit was the food - me and my friend were arriving late so called ahead to see what time the kitchen closed - the bartender asked the kitchen to prepare us a meal as we would arrive after the kitchen had closed. They offer an Indian tapas menu but the portions are not small. Its a diverse home cooked menu of various flavours with tasty additions. The Scottish lady who owns the hotel with her Palestinian husband makes a fantastic full cooked Scottish breakfast for my meat eating friend and veggie option for myself. I would definitely stay again.

Very good food with a decent menu to choose from. Prices were not too bad and I'd go again. They have a vast selection of whisky to choose from, so much so it has its own menu!
